Good tools to plan a room …
This weekend, Mr Man and I started dreaming.
Actually, I started and pulled him into dream land with me 🙂
We went to Ikea to pick up a few things and get ideas for our bedroom. Why is it that we tend to work on other rooms in the house before we start our own special place? Is it because we don’t usually have friends into our private space and so it isn’t as important to do it before the public areas? I think that is part of it. The other part? Other areas needed attention first.
I am working on my mudroom right now … finishing it up. But … I am dreaming and planning my bedroom and my “in suite”. A new term that I picked up on “Love it or List it” today on HGTV. It refers to a Master Bath. I first wanted to sketch my bedroom as it is … with one change.
The tool I used? Better Homes and Gardens has a free “Design a Room Layout”. I love it and it was easy to use.
Here is what I made for the rough draft …
Behr has a tool that will let you see what your walls will look like in your new color! It is called “Paint your Place”.
I have the paint bought (in anticipation), the chair that I bought with a Kirkland’s gift card, and new bed linens from Ikea.
After the Mudroom … Master Bedroom is next!
Hugs and make it a great week!
