Thankful Thursday #1

I am thinking this will be something that I continue, as I have much to be thankful for, since meeting all of you. I would love to highlight some incredible people and share how thankful I am that they have impacted me on my journey.

Today, this “THANK YOU” is all about Pam from “Our Adventures in Home Improvement”. I have been following Pam on her blog for awhile now and back a few weeks ago, she had a give-a-way that I entered. You can see it {here} Holy Hannah! I owe Pam an apology that it took me more than 4 weeks to post this. But hey, it just took me 2 hours to make the cute little image that you see at the top of this post. Please check out her blog and  see some of the things she has done and the talent that she shares with us.

Thank you Pam for the cute pillow and Cloche. Below is a picture of where I placed them 🙂

Um … I did have one small problem. What is a cloche? And what do you do with one? When you stop laughing, I will continue. I can wait … LOL

In the meantime, I will run back to
(I wonder if they know I seem to be promoting them? No affiliation I assure you!)

  [klohsh, klawsh]  Show IPA

a woman’s close-fitting hat with a deep, bell-shaped crown and often a narrow, turned-down brim.

a bell-shaped glass cover placed over a plant to protect it from frost and to force its growth.

a bell-shaped metal or glass cover placed over a plate to keep food warm or fresh.

Great. Clear as mud! Hmmm, what to do, what to do? Well, Google it and see what someone else did …

Both of these are glass … I am looking for metal …

Now here is an idea!

I envision it having a plant inside but something with small leaves to be able to peek through and grow out of the wire. Starting to think ivy, varigated ivy. The two different greens would look amazing with the gray of the wire cloche. And then … I will move it to my desk, where I can look at it daily.
Thank you Pam for having a such a great giveaway that really expanded my world of creativity. I had never even heard the name of “cloche” before. (and noooo, I do not live under a rock! 🙂 )
Happy Thursday and stop over and visit Pam!

Wow wish I had your problem I want a cloche and can’t find- I say it’s a way of highlighting a special item you love not the original purpose but that is what I want to do Where can I buy them??

I saw some at Michael’s the other day … The exact same one as I have in the picture 🙂
Funny how I never noticed one until I had one! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on “highlighting something special”!

“Cloche” must of been before our time, I didn’t know what it was either till I started blogging! Guess we just called it a glass-cover-like-something-you-would-put-a-cake-under. See how blogging has made us more worldly and learned!

It must have been! And most certainly my Mother never would have owned one. I think I wrote in another post how the more I learn … the less I find I know. However, I love to learn so it’s all good 🙂
    Hugs, Joy

I’m glad you like the pillow and cloche. I put some starfish in a similar looking one and love the look.

I’m glad to hear they have them at Michael’s. That’s not where I got it, but since I got the last one at my store and gave it away, I’m heading to Michael’s to get one for me too.

    Have a great day.

I will post a pic when I get the perfect thing to put in it! Thanks Pam!
