Indoor Dog Space beginnings …

I have been short on time to really work on Mr. Dog’s Space but I do have a few photo’s to share with you on what has happened thus far. This weekend the weather is supposed to be cold and snowy so I will have the whole weekend to make my dreams a reality. I have a need to create and as the idea is born in my head and takes shape I get excited to start. So … here is the space that I am working with. My whole basement is pretty much open and it is really important to me to break it into spaces while still having an open feel. Mr. Dog’s area is next to the sliding glass door for convenience. LOL that was a “no duh”! I am sure you figured that one out all on your own. *giggle*

Mr. Dog thinking his space is boring … ho hum.

Isn’t he the cutest thing ever?! Ok,  Bj focus! First I moved him away so I could take off the baseboards and the outlet covers. I wrote all over the wall in pencil my plan and measurements which, didn’t show up well in this photo … oh and see the sensor in the corner? Gone now and the hole is patched.

I used the same color green as I did on the wall of the under the stairs playhouse. I love this color ALOT! And just the color on the walls makes me happy. I think Mr Dog likes it too 🙂 (I have never liked the salmon color from the previous owners) I am adding some Billy book shelves that I got on sale at Ikea (Yay me) and I will be attaching them on Friday.

I thought about building them but it was faster and more cost effective to buy them while on sale.  They are super easy to put together too! You don’t need any major tools.  Easy Peasy 🙂

I had a helper too … The ‘joy’ 2 my ‘joy’ 🙂

I am so excited to create this dog space for Mr. Dog and I hope you enjoy the journey with me.

If Mr. Dog’s space is even half as wonderful as the under the stairs playhouse, I can’t wait to see it. I should send you a picture of my Mr. Dog. He naps next to me at the computer in a cabinet that the door never got put on and I tossed in a pillow. Bet you could jazz his space up easy. In fact….. now MY creative juices are flowing, hmmmmm…….
