Weekend Project Canceled

Ugh, Really?
So my plan this weekend was to start working on the inside of the playhouse. We took a trip to Home Depot to get some wood, and as I was lifting a LARGE piece of plywood with Mr. Man at Home Depot, it slipped, started to fall to the floor, and my instinct said, “catch it!”. I tried and it was too heavy for me to grasp and stop the fall. The wood sliced through my thumb and forefinger and I had to take an impromptu trip to the ER. I will spare you the yucky pictures and show you just two … hee hee.

This was taken in the ER right after they took out wood, cleaned, stitched, and wrapped it. Just like a present for Christmas! I got curious yesterday and unwrapped it (the doctor said to check it for any infection) and it was doing pretty good. What do you think? 🙂

I was bummed that I wasn’t able to work on the inside of the playhouse as much as I wanted. I couldn’t stand it any longer today so I very carefully painted a bit. A couple of Advil later I realized that I am going to have to let this heal a bit more.
I hope that you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
‘Joy’

Wow… I know what you mean by “instinct.” I’m learning to jump back from falling knives and xactos. Impressive sticthes… and even more impressive project. What a great idea for that awkward space under the stairs. A dream come true for a little girl (or even a boy would like it). So, so precious!
