Under the Stairs Playhouse Update

I was able to really spend some time downstairs in our basement working on the playhouse today. I have a hard time stopping on things that interest me so now it is almost midnight again! 🙂 I will have to make this update quick as I work tomorrow. (I have to earn money to pay for my projects)

So, this is where I started …

I cut out the door and window. (No turning back now!)

I  did the framing of the window and door and outlined the house with the shape that I envisioned…

But decided to make a few changes as it was starting to look more like a stable than I wanted it too. LOL, that is so funny that I think that now because at the time I thought it was great! I decided that I would paint the wood so this is where the update starts.

In order to paint and then add the cedar shakes I took off the porch but will add on a different version than the one that was shown previous. I added the tree and decoration to help me feel as if 1/2 of the outside was done. It kind of is 🙂 I sure hope I can get it done before Christmas Eve!!!!

Hugs,
‘Joy’

LOVE it! I’m so in love with the half door and the functional shutters and the shingling… It’s going to be great. I hope your playhouse gets played in. Ours just ended up being a really cute storage closet! LOL
